Betty Cantrell - MISS AMERICA 2016

Just heard it on the news that Betty has Greek origins! Her first name is Vasisliki (in Greek Bασιλική), which means "royalty."! She got her name from her Greek grandmother. She also sings in a Greek Orthodox church choir and is a member of a Greek dance group!

My grandma's name was Vasiliki and my sister is also called Vasiliki, it's quite a common name! In Greek traditionally we get our names from our grandparents!
