Analysis and opinion - bad times for the MUO

The 1st question is that, year after year, the MU is losing audiences. Ok, this is not a particularity of the MU, but of all the pageants of the world (in a mundial and global parameter). The Miss America lost, including, the TV live broadcast in 2005 and only now is goin in a better way again.

The lack of interest of the public reflects, also, on the lack of host cities. If people have no interest, why will someone pay to host a pageant? This is now the big problem for Trump and the MUO. And this is not new. Two or three years ago DR said "no" even when the value was lowered of 10 to 6 millions of dólares (the common value was 15 - 10 millions in the last years). The explanation? Is what the vice-mayor of Doral said now: "we have other more important things to do and we can use better this money". However, the Municipal Council said "yes".

For ending:
- Doral is paying only 2,5 millions of dólares and not the common 10 millions;
- for convince someone to host the pageant, Paula Shugart is saying that the pageant atracts hundreds of thousands of tourists and a lot of money, but this is not true. In Panama the Governor had not profits with the pageant. And this was not differente in Brazil.

I think the fans are not losing interest in beauty pageants, but yet they are getting tired with the MU pageant that lately they do not even know were it going to be held.

The Live Broadcast audiences are falling in a global scenery. In Brazil, for example, when the current TV hold the franchise for the LIVE Broadcast, it began with 8 or 9 points (when MU was in Brazil, they made 13 or 14). Today, 10 year later, the TV audiences marked only 3 or 4 points. In USA the scenery is the same. In the last 5 years, practically the audiences fall in half.
In Venezuela, who marked 90 points, it fall also, but not so much. Venezuela, with 90 points, and Phils, with 95, are today the big countries in audiences for the MU.

And the scenery in Europe is worst. There, also the national pageants missed the TVs (because they havend audiences) and what happened with Miss World is a historical case.

I think in a global evaluation these are not good times for the beauty pageants.
