Colombian Golden Queens Empty Luz Marina Zuluaga - Miss Universe 1958

Colombia has only won the Miss Universe crown once, and that was the 1st year we participated in 1958 with Luz Marina Zuluaga of Risaralda! Luz participated in Señorita Colombia 1957 representing her department of Risaralda where she got 1st runner up, however the winner Doris Gil Santamaria was unable to compete in Miss Universe since she got married! She competed in Miss Universe 1958, winning the crown by just one vote! Luz is Colombia's only Miss Universe to this day

And since she won, Colombia's goverment declared her TAX EXEMPT FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile
