	Former Miss Swaziland Director Vinah Mamba-Gray view that Miss Swaziland titleholders will never participate in the Miss World pageant. Her statement was made in reference to the reigning queen Samukelisiwe Magagula’s participation in the international pageant. This follows a report that the Swaziland Beauty Pageant Association (SBPA) will convene a series of meetings this week to deliberate and finalise prospects of Magagula’s participation in an international pageant. Chance The SBPA is toying with the idea to send Magagula to represent the country at either the Miss Earth, Miss Universe or Miss World contests. Mamba-Gray unreservedly stated that the SBPA should rule the Miss World pageant out as there is a zero chance that the country will be represented in the prestigious contest run by Julia Morley. Mamba-Gray who is known to have a good relationship with Morley that tethers on friendship dating back to the early ‘90s, added that as long as the latter was running the pageant and the SBPA is run by a male, the country will never be accepted or even participate at the international pageant. “Julia made it clear to me that we are not yet serious about participating in an international pageant because the Swazi government is still not involved in the running of pageants and there are a lot of men involved. I feel bad for the girls who win the contest because it is everyone’s will to participate in an international competition,” she explained. Read on
