A bit of comments:
I had Cuba in my top 20, but her win is a surprise for me. Like the "queen of the peace", she can work in prol of the "cuban political problems".
In the 1st round of the cut, big faves like France, Sweden and Albania fell out and did not make the Top 20. The Top 10 was more consistently, with the faves Poland, Colombia, Ethiopia, Thailand, Russia, Canada and Indonesia. At this part Global Beauties said: "All continents are represented in the Top 10".
When the top 5 was formed with Colombia, Ethiopia, Cuba, Australia and Canada, Global Beauties made other comment: "Favorites from Russia, Thailand and Poland fare out..." and with the win of Cuba, the site reported: 'Cuba is the surprising winner of Miss Grand International 2014! "
I think that is not only a surprise for me or Global Beauties, but for a lot of fans.
That the new queen can do a good job. Congratulations!

really big surprise even for local fans who had followed the event closely.
from now on, communication skill also seem to be extremely needed for one who will be crowned
