Eurovision Song Contest 2017

The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will be the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It will take place in the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev, Ukraine. There will be two semi-finals on 9 and 11 May and the final on 13 May 2017. The National Television of Ukraine failed to prepare the productions of the shows so in late February the task was handed to the Swedish Broadcaster! So basicaly Sweden organises the contest (which is always a good thing) in Ukraine!

At this point Italy and Belgium but we are expecting the Swedish and the Russian song until the weekend so that might change!

Μy fav is Italy!!! This is the live winning performance at the San Remo festival 2017!
I also like UK, Poland, Israel, Portugal
, San Marino!!!
And of course Greece, it's not the kind of music I like but I like the singer!!!

Yes! Although Russia got the public vote and Australia got the jury vote Ukraine got the award with a highly political song! It's no secret that the far right political parties are getting stronger in Europe but the fact that a song was trying to justify Nazism won the contest was sad and shocking!! After almost a year of drama Ukraine failed to prove that they can actually organise the competition, so in late February the Swedish National Broadcaster came to the rescue!Raymond R. wrote:Jamala was last year's winner, right?
But the drama goes on... The Ukranian (fasist) goverment issued a list of 140 Russian artists that they won't be aloud to compeet in Kiev! Russia chose an artist outside of this list, but now The Ukranians say if Yulia goes to Kiev they will charge her
and she will have to pay a big fine!! Can they get worse, really??? The funny part is that a big part of the population in Ukraine are Russians, last year their televoting gave to Russia the highest score 12... this whole mess makes no sense to me!!

EBU tries but we will see, the goverment in Ukraine is not very democratic!
