Pia spoke about the MU in the Phils and apparently agrees that the issue is not at the end, when she said "we need wait the official announcement".
In contrary of the Secretary of Tourism of the Phils, the MUO is making complete silence about the host country and during the last months none of the directors traveled to the country to continue the negotiations.
The rumours grew during the last weeks that the Phils would not be the host country due money problems (not all the 12 million dolares would have been collected from private companies and the government has refused to give money for the contest), terrorist threats and President Duterte's political problems.

According the CNB (Concurso Nacional de Belleza) of Colombia, the MUO-IMG released new rules and one is that a country must not have two queens at the same time. This complicates the situation in Venezuela, for example, that now has Habach and Sayago. Due the new rule, the Miss Colombia will be only in March, 2017.
The CNB also confirms the MU 2016 in next January, however without the name of the host country.

According Global Beauties, Miss Iceland will not attended the final night and travel back to her country hours ago. The controversy began yesterday, after she say on her Snapchat that the Director of Miss Grand said she "was too fat".

Beatrice Fontoura made serious accusations against the Miss World 2016. She said that there wasn't enough food and water, that contestants slept with the staff and that there wasn't a Panel of Judges for the Beauty with Purpose.
She posted the comments in a Brazilian Facebook Group.

Zhibek Nukeeva, Miss Kyrgyzstan 2013, who represented her country at the 63rd Miss World Pageant in Indonesia, which was won by Megan Young from the Philippines! She was diagnosed with cancer while she was 7 months pregnant! She is trying to save the money she need to get proton therapy!
